This park is among the most blessed wildlife sanctuaries in India. Kaziranga National Park home to the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros in North East India. The park offers nature lovers mind-blowing landscapes and experienced that will linger in your mind for long. The park found in the Golaghat and Nagao district of Assam and listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.

 

Kaziranga National Park Travel itinerary

Day One: Arrive in Guwahati

Our representative will warmly welcome you to Guwahati or Jorhat and will ensure you enjoy a smooth transfer to the hotel. You will then have a quick refreshment in Guwahati before you head to Kaziranga National Park. You will enjoy lunch and snacks in one of the top restaurants on the way before you then check into the hotel and rest for the day in Kaziranga.

Day Two: Kaziranga National Park

You will go on an elephant safari in the western part of the park early in the morning between 5.30 am to 6.30 am. You will then return to the hotel for breakfast before you then head for another wildlife safari. Some of the animals that you will see are wild buffalo, tiger, elephant, One-horned Rhinoceros, numerous migratory birds, and so on. You will then head back to the hotel for dinner and then rest at the hotel.

Day Three: Kaziranga – Guwahati

On the third day, we will then explore Guwahati where we will go sightseeing at the local attractions in the city like the tea gardens, local model village, and Karbi Ethnic village. You will then return to the hotel for lunch and relax. In the afternoon, we will go on a jeep safari at the central stage of the park for more sightseeing. We will then head back to the hotel and resort where you will explore different activities at the hotel before you sleep.

Day 4: Tour ends

After breakfast in the morning, you will check out of the hotel, and we will convey you back to Guwahati or Jorhat.

How to reach Kaziranga National Park

The park linked with the three significant modes of transportation, namely air, train, and road. If you are planning to go by air, the airports that are closer to the park can be found in Guwahati and at Jorhat. The nearest train station to the park located in Furkating. You can also travel to the park by road, and you will find lots of private and public buses that will take you to the park from Kohara, Tezpur, Guwahati, and the upper regions of Assam.

 

Biodiversity Kaziranga National Park

Fauna, The dominant fauna at the park is the one-horned rhinos, elephants, and wild buffalos. The park also houses diverse wildlife which is about 200 species. Some of them are Indian wild boar, pangolin, white-browed gibbon, eastern mole, barking deer, sloth bear, Indian gaur, leopard, hog deer, large Indian civet, leaf monkey, small Indian civet, common otter, Indian gray mongoose, fishing cat, orange-bellied Himalayan squirrel, Indus river dolphin, Indian porcupine, Asiatic black bear, hog badger, swamp deer, and so on. You will also find reptiles like lizards, alligator, snakes, tortoises, and crocodile at the park.

 

Flora, The park divided into three significant types of vegetation such as tropical wet evergreen forests, alluvial inundated grasslands, and tropical semi-evergreen forests. The dominant flora in the park is the dense and tall elephant grasses that are surrounded by small swamplands. Apart from the pastures and woods at the park, the park also houses water lilies, lotus, and water hyacinth which adds to its panoramic sceneries. You are also going to find Rattan Cane at the park.
