About Bhandardara Dam New Year Camping

The campsite will be at Bhandardara, which is in the interiors of Maharashtra and one of the darkest spots in our state with the least amount of light pollution. You will witness the darkest night sky possible. One may see the Milky Way with their naked eyes and spot numerous stars and galaxies that are never visible from the city. For all astrophotography lovers, we'll be taking some killer star trails and Milky Way pictures. It will be a treat for your lenses. Or if you get tired, you may chill in one of the open tents and immerse yourself under a sky filled with gazillions of stars.

Important Notes

  • We are not selling any kind of alcohol at our campsite. You can carry your own alcohol along with a proper 2-day permit issued from the liquor shop.
  • Make sure you avoid overconsumption of alcohol. If anyone is found disturbing others' privacy, then that person will immediately or forcefully boycott the campsite.
  • Missing the Train means missing Bhandardara New Year Camping, No Refund will be provided
  • For transport option 8 participants are required.

    Cancellation Policy and Charges

    • 75% refund if notified via phone conversation 8 or more days prior to the event date.
    • 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 4 to 7 days prior to the event date.
    • No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 3 days prior to the event date 
    • No show No Refund.
    • Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
    • Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another person against cancellation.
    • If the event gets canceled we will refund "Trek Amount" only.
    • If the event is canceled due to any natural calamity, political unrest or other such reasons beyond our control the same cancellation policy will apply.
    • Refunds won't be issued if you cannot attend the event due to heavy rains, floods, traffic jams, car breakdowns or a personal medical emergency.
    • Your booking cannot be shifted to another date if you cannot attend the event due to heavy rains, floods, traffic jams, car breakdowns, or a personal medical emergency.
    • If your area is prone to flooding, traveling from a flooded area, heavy traffic, heavy rains, missing the train, or any other reason, if you cannot attend the event, we won't issue a refund or shift you to another date.
    • Management won't be held responsible if you are stuck due to heavy rains, traffic jams, personal emergencies or floods during the event.
    • If you are bringing kids, please understand the possibility of getting stuck or delayed. You might have to stay back due to heavy rains, floods, bus breakdowns, and rush at the trekking destination. We won't be able to refund or shift you to another date. You will have to wait it out till the weather clears.
    • Due to bad weather, floods, sudden changes in government rules, and overcrowding at the destination trek, the organizer has the right to change the trekking destination.
    • During the trek , due to any circumstances seen or unseen trek leader has the right to cancel the trek for safety reason. No refund shall be issued.

    Treks and Trails Event Rules

    • Kindly carry one Identity proof, at least for the trek with your address.
    • We all are going for an adventurous and exciting trekking expedition; please Do Not misinterpret it as a PICNIC or LEISURE TOUR.
    • The leader's decision will be final, and all the members should abide by it.
    • We do not destroy or dirty the archaeological, historical monuments, natural habitat on the trek.
    • Swimming is not allowed in the lake or water tank on the forts. Locals use that water for drinking.
    • Putting your feet in water tanks or on the canon is not allowed on our treks.
    • Any addiction is strictly prohibited, e.g. drinking, smoking, chewing tobacco anyone caught doing it will have to exit the trek without a refund and travel back on own expense.
    • People caught smoking or drinking alcohol will be asked to exit the event on an immediate basis.
    • Please do not carry or wear any valuables, ornaments, jewellery, etc. If carried, then we Do Not take any liability for the same.
    • Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Trekking, or any adventure activity is potentially risky. For all these events, you are at your own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any accident or compensation in whatsoever manner.
    • We should strictly follow the code of conduct to avoid troubling our fellow trekkers or other people from our group or outside.
    • Listening to music on earphones or Bluetooth speakers is not allowed while trekking.
    • Bluetooth speaker not allowed inside the homestay or camping tents.
    • Drinking/smoking,/eating is not allowed inside the tents.
    • If you damage the tent, break the tent poles, you will have to pay us for the whole new tent on MRP.
    • If you are late for the bus pickup and are not reachable on the phone during your bus pickup, the trek leader will leave without you, and we will provide no refund.
    • Please check things to carry and wear trekking shoes on our treks.

    1. How to reach Bhandardara Campsite?

    We will provide a Google Maps GPS route to our campsite's location so that you can easily find your way to us!

    2. Where to stay in Bhandardara Hotels/ Resorts? 

    There are various hotels and homestays accessible in the area in the event that you decide to extend your time spent in Bhandardara. MTDC resort Bhandardara, Anandvan resort Bhandardara, Yash resort Bhandardara, Wanderlust resort Bhandardara.

    3. How are the toilets at the campsite?

    We have western toilets available at the campsite. Unfortunately, the bathing facility is not available at this time.

    4. Where should we park our car at Bhandardara?

    Ample car parking space is available above the campsite. The Bhandardara campsite is 5 minutes walking distance downhill from the car parking. Personal car parking’s at the owner’s risk - the route will be provided via Google maps. 

    5. Bhandardara camping is it safe for solo women travelers? 

    At Camp Site, we understand that women's safety is important. That's why we have implemented a 60 - 40 % or more male to female ratio at all of our events. With this proportion, women can feel safe and comfortable while attending our events.

    6. Bhandardara campsite kids friendly can we bring our kids?

    Kids below 15 with Parents' supervision only. The campsite is safe for kids in case you have any special requirements like milk and hot water please inform us at time of booking we will accommodate your request.

    7. Food preference only Veg & Non-Veg local cooked?

    For Dinner ( Veg and Non-Veg food is available ) please select at the time of booking

    8. Will we get phone reception at the campsite?

    Only BSNL sim cards get limited phone connectivity. Other Simcards will work near the village Shendi 6 km away from the campsite.

    9. I have signed up for Bhandardara camping from Mumbai with transport will I get private transport?

    Local jeeps used for Transport can accommodate 10 people. They are not-ac jeeps you will be sharing the jeep with other campers. Our Jeep driver will meet you at Kasara railway station and in the morning drop you at Kasara Railway Station.

    10. Can I pay the booking amount on the spot? 

    We only accept registrations with 100% upfront payment. We do not accept any on-the-spot payments.

    11. How to reach Bhandardara camping from Mumbai by train?

    You will have to board Kasara Train on Central Railway Line. Our Jeep driver will pick you up from Railway Station near Parking. It takes 2 hours to reach the campsite from Kasara Railway Station roads are in bad condition.

    12. How far is Bhandardara from Mumbai?

    Bhandardara is a serene and beautiful campsite that is located 170 km away from Mumbai, via NH160. The journey to Bhandardara takes around 6 hours, making it the perfect location for a relaxing weekend getaway.

    13. How far is Bhandardara from Pune?

    Bhandardara is a serene and beautiful campsite that is 172 km away from Mumbai. The best way to reach the campsite is via MH SH 21 and NH60. The journey would approximately take 6 hours.
