Kataldhar Waterfall Trek

Kataldhar Waterfall is situated at a distance of 13 Kms from the Tungarli Dam Lonavala. It is a popular hiking destination during the monsoon season, and people come here for trekking and picnics. The hike to reach Kataldhar Waterfall takes around two hours or so from the base point near Fanasrai Village.

Rajgad Fort Trek

For those who want to experience the raw outdoors, untouched beauty of Maharashtra at its best during the monsoon season. The Rajgad Fort Trek is a challenging but rewarding route that takes you through some truly stunning landscapes and villages on your way up into the fort. There are beautiful waterfalls, water tanks, caves, temples, beautiful weather in the vicinity. It's convenient for both beginner trekkers as well as seasoned hikers alike! You'll need two days, though, so make sure you're confident before booking this one out!

Torna Fort Trek near Pune

The Torna Fort Trek is a challenging trek through the Western Ghats near Pune, and it's also one of our favourites. The route takes you into some beautiful forests, past waterfalls and villages on your way up to the Torna fort, where there are great views of Landscape below and Rajgad Fort nearby. It'll take about one day for this trek, so make sure you prepare respectively before scheduling escape.

Rajmachi Fort Trek

Rajmachi Fort Trek is one of the longer treks near Pune. It starts from Lonavala and ends at Kondana Caves near Karjat, though it's just as beautiful! You will be trekking through gorgeous forests and meadows on your way to mountain Forts. You'll get great views over valleys below that to make this a stunning hike. You get the best view of Kataldhar Waterfalls from the twin fort of Shirvardhan on the Rajmachi Trek. 

The Rajmachi Trek takes you up towards some scenic waterfalls and temples in a mystical forested valley. The trail itself has varied terrain, taking you along creeks filled with frogs and wildlife before heading back down towards Kondana Caves. Things to on the Rajmachi Trek the beautiful Dukes Nose Mountain, Shirota Lake, Dhar Bahiri Plateau, Dhak Bahiri Caves, Bor Ghat and many more beautiful sights this trek.

Vasota Fort Trek and Camping

The Vasota Fort Trek is a memorable occasion to get out of Pune and explore the surrounding rural regions. This trek starts at Bamnoli village, which is just 36 kms from Satara. You will be walking through lush green trees, meadows, and forests abundant with birds and wild animals. This trek is only available during the winter season! The Vasota Fort hike takes about eight hours, so you'll have plenty of time for photography breaks too! You can enjoy the one-hour boat ride from Bamnoli to the forest gate.Great for beginners who want to experience treks near Pune.

Bhorgiri to Bhimashankar trek from Pune

One of the most popular treks in Pune is Bhimashankar Trek. With an elevation easy for hikers, this trek is suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. The route passes through dense forests and huge rocks home to many wild animals like leopards, sloth bears, red squirrel barking deers. This journey starts at Bhorgiri, which has a beautiful waterfall and ends near Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga temple.

Lohagad Fort Trek

Lohagad trek starts from Malavali village near Bhaja caves and ends at the Lohagad Fort. You can explore the twin Visapur FortPawna Lake, while staying in the village of Lohagadwadi.

Tikona Fort Trek is a short and easy day hike on the outskirts of Lonavala. The trail begins at Tikona village, where an ancient fortress can be seen atop a hill. For most people, this is about as far as they get on the trek; however, for those who are adventurous enough to continue up the mountain, there lies a beautiful view of Pawna Lake, Tung Fort and beautiful sunsets.

Devkund Waterfalls Trek from Pune

The trek starts from Patnus village and ends at Devkund Waterfalls. You will pass by woodlands, Tamhini ghatPlus ValleyAndharban Forest, Waterfalls and many streams with a view of the Western Ghats on your way to reach Devkund waterfalls

The Devkund is a beautiful waterfall in the state of Maharashtra. The cascades from a height of about 100 meters have many small streams that flow down their length. It is surrounded by dense forests, which provide excellent habitat for rare species such as leopards, bears, monkeys and deer. Devkund is an integral part of the Plus valley, famous for its natural beauty and biodiversity. The waterfall has been classified as one of India's ten most spectacular waterfalls by many travel magazines.

Andharban Forest Trek

The Andharban Forest Trek is a popular nature trekking destination in Pune. It is located near the Pimpri Village, Andharban has been declared a Forest. This forest area covers both dry and wet evergreen forests with many plants and animals such as deer, wild boar, leopard cat, hare, and many types of birds, including kingfishers.

The trek starts from Pimpri village and ends at Patnus village near the Devkund Waterfall. You can enjoy the river crossings, valleys, hills covered with fogs views of Sahyadri Ranges on your way.

Sudhagad Fort Trek

The trek starts from the village and ends at Sudhagad Fort. You will pass through forests, valleys, hills, climb ladders, pass excellent fortification and water tanks with a view of Sahyadri ranges on your way to reaching the fort.

Sudhagad Fort Trek is one of the most challenging treks in Maharashtra. It's a trek to the fort that takes place in Monsoon, during which one has to brave heavy rains and extreme weather. The monsoons can be treacherous- walking through slushy mud or wading through streams becomes an exhausting task while avoiding slipping on wet leaves and rocks.The ascent up sheer steps with slippery surfaces requires sturdy footwear with good grip and superior fitness levels for hiker enthusiasts who do not want to miss this experience.

Lonavala to Bhimashankar Trek

Bhimashankar is one of the oldest pilgrimage sites for Hindus. The trek to Bhimashankar will take you through thick jungles, grassy green valleys and hillsides lined with waterfalls on the way to this ancient temple.

Once you reach the destination, there are various temples around which have their significance in history. Korigad Fort Trek

Rising in the Sahyadris, at about 930 meters from sea level, is Korigad Fort.  The most prominent features are the canons scattered around the fort, which seen from afar on top of this mountain. The fortress is under restoration process, and work has been going on for a couple of years. 

You can see from the top Mulshi Lake Trek, Aamby Valley, Ghangad FortSudhagad FortTailBaila Fort. The trek starts with a thirty-minute long walk followed by a thirty-minute hike up into the hills and finally reaching Korigad Fort Gate.

Kalavantin Durg Trek

Kalavantin Durg is a beautiful mountain located near Panvel, Maharashtra. The Kalavantin Durg Trek is one of the most popular treks in Pune because it offers breathtaking pictures, diverse flora and fauna and is home to many endangered species of wildlife. The rock-cut steps leading to the summit are the highlight of this trek. The steps are exposed on one side without any support, one wrong move, and over for you. 

The trek starts at Prabalmachi village and takes you through small fields to meet local farmers living off the land. It then brings you up into the mountains that offer stunning views over the plateau below. You will also find yourself surrounded by impenetrable woodlands with an abundance of wildlife, including leopards, deer, bears, monkeys and honey bees!

Katraj to Sinhagad Fort Trek

Sinhagad is one of the most formidable forts in Maharashtra, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj built it. The fort overlooks Pune city from a height of 760 meters, making it the highest point for miles. The Katraj to Sinhagad trek starts from Katraj. On your way to Sinhagad, you will be surrounded by dense green forests and cross many mountains with plenty of wildlife like vipers, birds. It is best to start hiking early in the night, so you have plenty of time to explore and enjoy the beauty.
